How MINATA writes and checks its content
Every article, calculator, lookup table and download on MINATA follows the principles below.
Author
7+ years in production control, equipment maintenance, production engineering and automation equipment development at Japanese factories. Drawing on hands-on work from concept design to start-up, he supports Japan–Vietnam engineering, sourcing and communication. JLPT N1.
Sources
- Japanese standards (JIS) and official catalogues of Japanese manufacturers come first; ISO is used where it corresponds to JIS.
- Experience from Japanese factories explains the "why" — it never replaces figures from a standard.
- Internal documents of customers and partners are never quoted or named.
How we write
- No invented figures: numbers come only from sources; if a source does not give it, it is left out.
- Material is rewritten from a practical viewpoint, not translated line by line; Japanese terms are kept for lookup.
Calculators and lookup tables
- Formulas and factors are checked against Japanese/JIS sources, cited at each calculation step.
- Results are for preliminary selection. Before design or ordering, check the manufacturer's original catalogue.
Updates and corrections
- Each article shows the date it was last updated.
- If you spot an error, tell us through the Contact page with the article link. MINATA re-checks it against the source and corrects it.
See the corrections log
Scope
- The content is for reference and learning; it does not replace original standards, manufacturers' documentation or workplace safety rules.
