Technical Katakana and Japanese Factory Abbreviations
A three-page reference for Vietnamese engineers and technicians who attend Japanese production meetings and read Japanese HMIs and catalogues. The katakana part covers six sound-change rules for reading back to English, three marks that decide pronunciation (ー, ッ, ャュョ), thirty-one common words for parts, machine commands and consumables, and traps such as wasei-eigo. The abbreviation part lists nineteen core terms from production meetings (QC, QA, WIP, PT, 段取り, 実績, 稼働率…) with examples, six Japanese shortenings to watch for and nine shop-floor phrases.
