Bill of Materials (BOM) Template (部品表)
An Excel bill of materials (部品表, BOM) template for an assembly drawing, ready to fill in. The first sheet has fields for the assembly drawing number, assembly name, date and author, and the six minimum columns with Vietnamese–Japanese headers: item number (the same as the balloon number), part or purchase code, part name, quantity, material or specification, and remarks. Two extra columns support a mechanical check before every release: enter the balloon count from the drawing and the file reports OK or a mismatch against the quantity — catching the three most common errors: quantity not matching the drawing, a part shown but missing from the list, and one code used for two different parts. Grey example rows show part names built as [function noun] + [qualifier]. The guide sheet explains why each column is needed, balloon numbering rules, part naming, bad names versus good ones, four things never to put in a name, and meaningful versus non-meaningful part codes. The vocabulary sheet covers 品番, 品名, 数量, 材質, 備考 and 図番. Content is drawn from MINATA's Machine Design #83 and #85 articles and the title block reading guide.
